Nurtured Nest Classes

When should I take the class?

There is no right or wrong time to join a Nurtured Nest class. The beauty of on-demand is that you can watch it little by little or binge it in a few days. Plus, you have access to each class for at least a full year.

If you're ready to start early on in pregnancy, do it! You will be able to come back to class as different questions arise. And if you are just finding us and your baby is already here, join now and you can be learning while you're doing.

Who teaches Nurtured Nest classes?

Nurtured Nest pairs medical professionals and parenting experts with teaching and writing experts, ensuring our classes are not only evidence-based and information-packed, but also succinct, professional, and fun to consume.

Learn all about who we are and the credentials our team here on our educator page.

What comes with each class?

Each class has engaging videos created with an adult learner in mind, ebooks, digital downloads, web resources, and the ability to chat with the educators in each class.

To create this content our team of adult learning experts partners with multiple subject matter experts to ensure we cover all areas of a topic and bring families the full picture. Our goal is to provide the health literacy needed for families to make the best decisions for their family.

What are your online classes like?

Our classes are easy to access, fun to watch, and leave you with knowledge and understanding of the topic at hand.

You will find that our classes allow you to watch as much as you want, when you want, and where you want.

You can also rewatch it—being able to watch information in short chunks, rest, reflect, then return is how adults learn.

Classes consist of engaging videos, digital downloads, and resources. You also have the ability to send your specific questions to the instructors in each class.

What if I have specific questions to ask the instructor?

Learners use a "discuss" feature within the on-demand class platform to send specific questions to the instructors/educators. They will respond in the class or to the learner's email depending on the nature of the question.

How long do I have access to class?

You can access a class for at least 365 days from the day you purchase. Need more time? Reach out and we will gladly add you back in.

Class Payment

Do you accept insurance?

Reimbursement Options For Classes:

Many health insurance companies offer reimbursement for all or part of prenatal classes including Childbirth Education, Breastfeeding, Newborn Care, and Infant CPR, safety classes and lactation consultations. Unfortunately, all insurance plans are different and we do not have the ability to know what each individual plan requires. The codes and reimbursement letter towards the bottom of this section should be helpful. You must contact your own health insurance company to confirm your policy’s specific reimbursement benefits. Nurtured Nest is not responsible for denied claims.

Individual health insurance policies and reimbursements vary greatly. Please contact your health insurance company to confirm your benefits for reimbursement.  When contacting your insurance company, the following information may be helpful.

Flexible Spending Account (FSA)/ Health Care Savings Account (HSA) may be used to pay for all or any remaining balance of prenatal classes. Contact your own FSA/HSA to inquire about specific reimbursement policies.   To learn more about Flexible Spending Accounts reimbursement, see the www.IRS.gov page.

Need a proof of class payment?  You can use the first email you received from Nurtured Nest that includes your purchase confirmation and the amount paid. Use this email or a copy of your credit card statement as a receipt of class payment.

Proof of class attendance
You can download our reimbursement letter for insurance companies. (*Valid only after you have purchased and completed the class).

Please head to our insurance reimbursement blog post where we outline the codes you may need when filing for insurance reimbursement.

If you have any issues, please contact us directly at Help@nurturednest.org. We will help you with specific needs.

My FSA/HSA card was denied at checkout.

We know how frustrating dealing with insurance can be. While we wish we had a blanket answer, we don't because HSA/FSA funds differ by insurance provider.

If your card is being denied at checkout you can check with your HR provider to ensure that class you are trying to purchase is covered under your individual plan. You can also reach out to your insurance company directly to ensure it’s covered and to ask for reimbursement if the card won’t be accepted through our online payment.

Some class participants have found luck by adding their card to their PayPal account and using it through PayPal at checkout.

Do you offer financial assistance?

Yes! Please click this link and fill out our application. We will be back in touch within 72 hours.

What's the return policy if I don't like it?

Let us know! Parenting is too expensive to waste money. If the class is under 10% viewed within 15 days of purchase, we are happy to send you a refund. Simply send us a message.
